Admissions & Growth Roadmap

Opening in August 2027, SGIS is now enrolling Nursery 1 - Year 8 (Ages 2–14). We are committed to growing with our families, with a roadmap to expand to higher secondary levels annually to ensure a complete educational journey.

Established as a joint venture between the Academy of Principals (Singapore) and the Economic Development Board, PAI is the premier gateway to Singapore’s world-renowned education system. At SGIS, PAI provides expert consultancy in curriculum development, educator training and ongoing assurance of teaching and learning quality. This partnership ensures that all teaching and learning are conducted with Singapore’s research-based pedagogy and authentically reflect the rigorous benchmarks of Singapore's schools.

Dr. Lim Lai Cheng
Dr. Lim Lai Cheng

Director of International Schools Board, PAI, & Academic Advisor (Pre-Tertiary), SGIS

Dr. Lim has extensive experience in Singapore's education system. She has served as Academic Director in the Provost's Office, Fellow of the School of Social Sciences, and Executive Director of a skills training academy at Singapore Management University. Previously, she was the principal of three schools, including Raffles Institution, Singapore's oldest and most prestigious school. Dr. Lim held leadership roles in corporate communications, curriculum planning, and policy development at the Ministry of Education, Singapore. She contributed to major national education reviews, including the Revised “A” Level Curriculum and the development of Integrated Programme Schools, and participated in corporate planning teams to reshape primary school education strategies.

Dr. Lim is a board member of the International Positive Education Network and Chair of the Singapore Positive Education Network. She co-founded the Global Alliance of Leading Edge Schools in Sustainability, a network of over 30 schools worldwide, and serves on the advisory boards of non-profit education foundations in Johannesburg, Bratislava, Moscow, Cyprus, Stockholm, Malaysia, and Indonesia. In recognition of her contributions to advancing educational collaboration between France and Singapore, Dr. Lim was awarded the Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques in 2012. Dr Lim holds a Bachelor and Masters degree of Arts from Cambridge University, a Master of Education degree from Nanyang Technological University and a Doctoral degree in Education from University College London, Institute of Education.

Mr. Ang Pow Chew
Mr. Ang Pow Chew

Director of International Schools Board, PAI, & Academic Advisor (Secondary), SGIS

Mr Ang is a seasoned education professional with extensive leadership and teaching experience across Singapore's education sector. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Language from the National University of Singapore, a Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education, a Master of Science (Education) from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science (Knowledge Management) from Nanyang Technological University. As Senior Vice President (Education) at Sing-Ed Corporation, a role he held till Dec 2024, he oversaw the operations of Invictus International Schools in Singapore, mentoring and supervising campus leaders while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and educational excellence.

Mr Ang has served as Principal of National Junior College and Victoria School, as well as held strategic roles in the Ministry of Education, including leadership positions in the Curriculum Planning and Education Technology divisions. He has also contributed to school leadership as Vice-Principal of Victoria School and Head of Department for English at Victoria Junior College, in addition to teaching General Paper at Catholic Junior College earlier in his career. With a deep commitment to educational innovation and leadership, Mr Ang has made significant contributions to advancing the quality of education in Singapore.

Ms. Cecilia Ng
Ms. Cecilia Ng

Director of International Schools Board, PAI, & Academic Advisor (Primary), SGIS

Over a distinguished career in education spanning more than four decades, Ms Ng has served in various leadership roles in both local and international educational institutions. She is also the recipient of the Public Service Medal (Bronze) for her contributions. Currently serving as a Cluster Principal at a Self Help Group in Singapore, she has also led three international schools spanning Singapore, Phnom Penh and Bangkok. She was also an advocate for the FLAIR Programme under the Association of Early Childhood Education Singapore (AECES). Her leadership experience includes holding the position of Quality Advocate and District Head at PCF (PAP Community Foundation) Preschool.

Earlier in her career, she held principal positions at Lianhua Primary School, Montfort Junior School, and Juying Primary School, as well as Vice Principal at Da Qiao Primary School. In the schools that she has helmed, she has built a culture of continuous learning and achievement, focussing on the well-being of the staff and students.

Ms Ng began her career as a teacher, specializing in English, Mathematics, and Science. She holds a Master of Arts in English Language and a Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore, with a Diploma in Educational Administration from NIE.

Dr. Jacqueline Chung
Dr. Jacqueline Chung

Director of International Schools Board, PAI, & Academic Advisor (Early Years), SGIS

Dr. Jacqueline Chung was formerly the Senior Director (Leadership Development) at Anglican Preschool Services, and the former Academic Director and Senior Principal at St. James’ Preschool Services. Jacqueline holds a PhD in early childhood education and has 29 years of leadership experience in the EC sector. She was also the recipient of the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) Outstanding Early Childhood Leader award in 2014. As an Early Childhood Pinnacle Leader in Singapore, she trains, coaches, and mentors EC educators and leaders. In addition, she has professional qualifications in English Language, music, dance, and the visual arts, and is an advocate for inclusion in preschools. She was co-host in 'How We Do School', a nine-episode video series that explores inclusive practices schools in Finland and British Columbia.

Jacqueline was the first in Asia to be a certified trainer of 'Key to Learning', a Vygotskyian approach to early childhood education, and is also a Gallup Strengths coach. She believes strongly in the power of collaboration and has forged synergistic partnerships with a variety of individuals and organisations ranging from healthcare, environmental sustainability, design, educational technology, inclusion, publication, museums and galleries.
